Fern Bay eh.. The most ridicilous layouts, kurbs, and colors of any driving game in the world It's like engine from Morrowind or something like that
And steering feel, honestly i have no idea what you're talking about , every E30 version, X-Bow, Formula Abarth, Lotus 2-11 etc.. give pornographic feel through the steering wheel.. Not all cars i agree, some are a tad floaty and dead.
Don't get me wrong, from that standpoint i agree completely. I don't think it will ever get to that 'feeling' that LFS gave us all these years. I can't even edit textures here ffs
Just commented the tracks.. they do suck most of them, and i can't believe i was in that "NO MODS!" boat all these years..
Someone mentioned that they didn't have this much fun for years, so true.. One lap of the Ring, or Mugello, or Imola, or Silverstone.. or pretty much any track, miles better then any of the LFS tracks :/ And it's not even because these are 'real'. Just that the layout of almost any LFS track sucks..
I honestly can't imagine it beeing a good track for bumper to bumper racing, you have to know every inch of it and so does the othery guy.. It really is purely for self-pleasuring.
Because they have.. tinted glass, most of the cars? I honestly don't see a thing in my Golf MKII with a regular windshield when the sun is pointed directly at me, almost impossible to drive without the sun visor. Let's just stop though..
So you never had to flip the sun visor in your car ever? This guy did it for the camera lens?
What the hell are we talking about here... enough.. i regret bringing up the subject in the first place
@ sinbad
Camera or the eye, you get blinded, you see the dirt with your eyes, tarmac is bright and you have to put down the sun visor in those occasions. I don't know how else would the game replicate that other then this.
This is what i'm getting at, you often get blinded in real life and can barely see anything.. it's not 100% at replicating that, but it's pretty darn close..
That's the thing, i usually don't fall for those effects and most of the time turn them off if it's possible, but here the HDR, that windshield dirt, the high reflections on the tarmac... really look super realistic to me.. without those it looks like LFS almost..
Yes you look through it, but you also get blinded by the sun and can barely see at times.. which AC replicates very very well.
Honestly wouldn't play it at all if my PC couldn't handle the HDR, it's just so well done imho. Driving through Joux Plane or the Ring.. didn't experienced anything more realistic generally in gaming.. Notice the realistic part, not how many polygons and zero's it has..
Offcourse it will be, but with AC's graphics engine, HDR, sun effects etc, everything looks awesome, take Joux Plane as an example, 10 years old, still looks photo-realistic when you drive...
@ troy
Thanks, yeah i did something in the settings, not sure if it's the shadows that helped, but it's much more enjoyable now.
Still having these stutters on 0.50 versions and i really don't want to turn off the mirrors cause it really kills the immersion for me. Tried playing with frame limiter on and off, turned down some graphic settings but it still stutters Looks so damn good though, this can easily be the official version if some curbs looked more modern and a few tweaks here and there..
